Not all consulation booking can be made on line.

Consultations are by appointment only. Appointments are usually 10 minutes long. Urgent appointments are available during surgery hours.

Pre-bookable appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance with a doctor of your choice. This type of appointment may be made with reception, by phone, in person oron line if you are registered for on line services.

Telephone Appointments

You can book a telephone consultation for advice if you feel that your issue can be dealt with over the telephone. This is not always with the doctor of your choice and is available during surgery hours.

After 18:30 and weekends

If you struggle to get an appointment after work or at weekends extended Hours appointments are available.

As well as operating from this health centre the service can be accessed throughout East Lancashire outside normal working hours i.e. after 18:30 and on saturdays – ask at reception for more details or click here for the East Lancs CCG website

Consultations are normally carried out in the surgery but if you are too ill to come to the surgery a home visit can be requested.

A request for a home visit will be assessed by a doctor who will decide on the best way of dealing with your problem.

Requests for home visits should normally be made before 10.00am.

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
